Utilizing the Stimulus Package

Walking through this difficult time, you or someone you know, may be laid off of work. You and your employer have paid for the use of unemployment so utilize it. There is no deadline to apply, which you can do online. There are three major changes due to the stimulus legislation:

• An extension to EUC 08 - Emergency Unemployment Compensation
• $25 weekly stimulus payments
• Waiver of federal income tax on the first $2400 of benefits received during 2009
